Hazard Tree Evaluation
Hazard trees are trees that have a very real potential to fail and injure or damage a target (homes, utility lines, cars, people.) Hazardous trees include but are not limited to trees that have been hit by lightening, have been topped, are showing signs of fruiting bodies such as mushrooms, root rot, visible cavities, loose bark, cracks, V- shaped crotches, discoloration or other structural problems. Many of the hazards of significant trees can be alleviated through early detection and assurance of a good environment for their health.
Our evaluation of potentially hazardous trees takes many factors into account:
- History
- Signs of decay
- Root system
- Environmental Conditions
Proper care of a tree includes some of the following: routine inspection, proper pruning techniques, mulching, fertilizer, and when necessary, removal.
